THE BENEFITS OF STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

MAKE CONNECTIONS
The people you meet in an internship can serve as valuable mentors to guide you to the next stages of your career, or connect you to future opportunities.
BUILD SKILLS
Quality internships are a way to build professional skills you won't learn in school, such as interviewing techniques, professional communication, teamwork, and project management.
DEMONSTRATE EXPERIENCE
Show future employers that you have already built your knowledge base and have the skills that are important in your industry.

Registration Instructions

Ready to get started? Here is what you can expect when you sign up for LaunchPath. The process will take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

  1. Visit the Student Registration page.
Complete the registration form. Make sure to select the correct number of units completed from the drop down menu.

  2. Complete your profile.
This will include basic contact information and software skills.

  3. Select your activity preferences.
Note what types of daily activities you are interested in, your major, the type of work environment you would prefer, and how challenging you would like your internship to be. This helps shape the kinds of internships you are matched with.

  4. Complete the learning opportunities exercise.
This exercise indicates what you would like to get out of your internship.

  5. Upload your transcript.
You will need a copy of your unofficial transcript from the current term that includes your name, college name, and cumulative GPA, in one of the following file types: .pdf, .jpeg, .tiff, or .docx.

  6. Check your email.
Within a couple days after uploading your transcript, our administrator will review your documents and send you an email notifying you that you can start applying to internships.
