THE TEAM

The LaunchPath Project is a collaborative partnership between the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the Linked Learning Alliance, with project financial support from JPMorgan Chase.

Linked Learning Alliance

The Linked Learning Alliance is a nonprofit statewide coalition of education, industry, and community organizations dedicated to improving California's high schools and preparing students for success in college, career, and life. Established in May 2008, the Linked Learning Alliance aims to build a collective voice and coordinate efforts to expand access to Linked Learning in California. Linked Learning ignites high school students’ passions by creating meaningful learning experiences through career-oriented pathways in fields such as engineering, health care, performing arts, law, and more.

By turning high school education into a personally relevant, engaging experience for all students, Linked Learning exposes them to previously unimagined college and career opportunities. Research shows that Linked Learning students have higher rates of engagement and higher graduation rates than their peers at traditional high schools. This approach to education is helping to create an engaged, disciplined, and productive future workforce for California, ready to succeed in college, career, and life.

Foundation for California Community Colleges

The Foundation is the official 501(c)(3) non-profit auxiliary of the California Community Colleges' Board of Governors and Chancellor's Office. The Foundation’s mission is to benefit, support, and enhance the California Community College system by providing effective services and innovative solutions that reach all 114 Community Colleges and
72 districts.

For more than a decade, the Foundation has provided work-based learning opportunities for youth and recruitment solutions for employers through its Career Pathway program (now known as Career Catalyst). The Foundation’s paid internship services simplify the process of hosting student interns at companies or organizations—from the early stages of creating positions and recruiting candidates to providing programmatic and administrative support. The Foundation has affiliations with high schools throughout the state, as well as all three public systems of higher education in California. These affiliations allow employers to connect with an unmatched pool of California’s future talent and build their workforce pipeline. We have placed over 3,500 students with employers for paid internship positions throughout the state.
